  • AZTEC SECRET INDIAN HEALING CLAY is bentonite clay from Death Valley, California, where it is sun- dried for up to six months in temperatures that sometimes reach 134 degrees.
  • Deep pore cleaning with 100% natural calcium bentonite clay
  • Does not contain: Additives, fragrances, animal products
  • Important Note: Do not leave clay mask on skin longer than 5-10 mins for delicate skin; this will prevent redness/drying

  • Use for acne and blemishes. Use it once per week

After a long discussion with my younger sibling, which mask is on HYPE these days and what brand to use? well I ended up buying this bentonite clay mask that I will discuss and give a genuine assessment about it…I was not really fun of this mask because I am deeply into different  moisturizer and essence.

I have a very dry skin,I reckoned that’s the reason why I didn’t include clay mask on beauty regimen . Now I’m decided yeah its true haha.. we went to Healthy Option to  give it a try. I was in a big surprise! when we reached there, there was a Massive line outside the store, waiting for their turn to have a one tub of Aztec. Take note of this ONE Aztec tub per person only! you can’t buy more than two tub of course to spread the item equally for those customers who waited ages just to have one. See those two little pretty sister of mine? they volunteered to wait and stand for about an hour to get one. This photo is to show that Aztec Healing Clay is surely effective and Top Rated!

Lets go into DETAILS of these new baby…

It contains only 100% natural calcium bentonite clay, free of any additives, fragrances, or animal products. Bentonite clay can contain calcium and sodium, though the more common type used for cosmetics and skin care is calcium bentonite. This type of clay is mined from many parts of the world. It’s often found in the USA, including the states of Wyoming, Montana, Texas, and Arizona. It’s also found in many countries around the world, including France, Egypt, India, etc.

Bentonite itself is a soft, porous and light colored rock. It’s made of minerals from the montmorillonite or smectite group, and colloidal silica. It was formed during the alteration of igneous materials, or volcanic action. It’s ground up into powder form and then sold in containers. Since this clay contains basic minerals, it’s safe to use externally. The consumer can mix up their own clay mask recipes.

What you will need in preparing this mask

                                                              Small glass container
                                                              Plastic mixer
                                                              Measuring spoon 1/2 Tbs
                                                             Small tea glass
                                                              Aztec Clay
                                                              Brag apple cider vinegar

Hola! Everyone,  as you can see on the photos I used a glass container to make a mask for the face because it is more safer than metal. Based on my research if you use a metal in Bentonite clay it will react to the metal and reduces the healing properties of the Bentonite.  Just a small container will do, because if you use bigger bowls you might intend to put more aztec powder  in it, but if you are going to include your neck and chest  you can do so depending on the amount  you need, small glass is (OPTIONAL) you can just pop it straight to the glass container that you are going to use. Its a MUST to use a vinegar that is natural like BRAG ok, don’t forget that!  Last but not the least make sure you have AZTEC healing clay or else you can’t see the promising effect of this bentonite mask. I did not include spatula that is made of silicon because you can use your bear hand or I should say finger tip to apply it straight on your face. For those stagy user they can use whatever tools they like to use.

Clean your Face first before putting the clay on.

2 Scoop of 1/2 Tbsp of Clay and 2 scoop of 1/2 Tbsp of  apple cider Vinegar

You gotta mix them together,  take a look at the video to get the perfect consistency of the clay

Once you got this consistency, you can start spreading it on your entire face like seen on the photo below↓↓

          BEFORE                                           AFTER

yeah! you are right those photos are filtered by Snapshot so I’m kinda look great in there, okay lets begin…First come first! You should slather the mask evenly however you can make it more thicker a bit to be more effective. Once you are finished you let it stay and dry on your face for 5 to 10 minutes for delicate skin and 15 to 20 minutes for normal skin. Yes, you will feel pulling and tightening sensation, its a sign that the clay is working, while the clock tics and waiting for the times up! FEEL YOUR FACE PULSATE!

on my first try, I was really worried about the tightening effect and it produce a regular throbbing on my face and I felt a that it is getting warm , its like your skin is gonna tear apart ha ha. You will only feel that if  you let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes or more.. the longer the tighter! but I don’t recommend it to let it stay for that long. I did experienced it to though! out of curiosity.

Waiting Time what does it look like?

3 Minute              10 minute              15 minute              30 minute

Take a look at it closer, See the difference? It really pulls your skin, that you can’t even move your mouth to talk. As shown in the photos the longer minute the tighter and makes your face a little bit funnier because it is stretching so hard that my lip look more wider than its normal and my nose looks more like flatter. Do not panic its still normal.

This is it! Washing time. Get a warm water to easily comes off the hard clay on your face or  put your face straight at the facet ( ” if your facet is high enough”) and let the water continuously drip onto your face to soften the mask and gently wipe it with your hand to help to remove it easily. It’s recommended that you use the Aztec clay mask once a week.

Right after you washed your face, the redness of your face is the first thing you will noticed and you will probably looking at the mirror closely to observe what had happened?. Its typical anyways, also your face felt  warmed. The redness will slowly disappear after 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can use moisturizer right after you wash your face to lock the moisture on your skin. The next day, I  noticed the difference on my skin. I felt it is more smooth and luminous, my pore looks more smaller also my fine lines are less visible. It’s all worth the hype.

I read a lot of reviews about it and every post have different reaction on their skin, some have good and some have bad. Each skin type has a specific set of characteristic and symptoms. You got to learn and study your skin type first before you purchase a beauty product on the market. For me honestly?,  this is a MUST try product ! No one knows if the product is effective if you just skim and read all  review about Bentonite Clay. You, yourself must find out what is the magic inside this clay that makes my skin fresh and young looking.
