Imus, Cavite one of the most historical places in the Philippines. Imus is only a few hours away from the center of Manila.
One of the most significant place of Imus is the Nuestra Senora del Pilar Parish Church or famously known as the Imus Cathedral that holds many weddings and baptismal celebrations of the city. The cathedral is also the center of spirituality in Cavite as the Diocese of Imus holds all influence over all the Catholic churches throughout Imus, Cavite.
The Battle of Alapan Marker is also a spot worth visiting where a 90-feet flag pole attached to a three-star painted rocks that holds a lady with a flag statue stands. The marker is the spot to commemorate the very first time the Philippine Flag was waved after winning the battle against the Spaniards. The said event in history is the reason why Imus celebrated the Wagayway Festival every 28th of May and why Imus is recognized as the “Real Flag Capital of the Philippines”.
Imus is also formerly known as the Christmas Capital of the Philippines as whenever the Christmas season comes, the city becomes alive a night with colorful lights. Along the national road, Aguinaldo Highway, many vendors display grand and originally crafted Christmas lanterns and decors that make any home filled with the season’s spirit. Many people from Manila go all the way to Imus, just to get a glimpse or purchase these valuable finds.
Where to Eat and Delicacies.  Big Ben’s Kitchen Restaurant takes pride in its garlicky Imus Longganisa, an heirloom recipe passed on from generation to generation. They also serve Filipino comfort food such as Adobong Tagalog, Kare-Kare, Fiesta Menudo, and Batchoy Tagalog. Bottled gourmet products and frozen meats are also available.  The Black Apartment is a cozy, ‘gram-worthy hangout known for its burgers, hot wings, and milkshakes.  Casa Del Celo is an ancestral house turned restaurant great for Sunday family get-togethers.  Just like its neighboring cities South of Metro Manila, Imus has a laid-back bar scene. Nothing rough and rowdy nor intimidatingly fancy. Enjoy a round of drinks, bar chow, and live music at iMusix Place KTV, Bar, and Restaurant. Epicenter Party Den has three chills out areas: the Party Den, Richter’s Bar, and Aftershock KTV. Swing by Café Marcello for wine and cocktails while listening to acoustic performances.
