3 Stunning Techniques to Type Faster

I was born in a remote area where technology is not yet improved. Even in my college days, I can’t almost take computer lessons. Years past and bring my destiny in a home-based job wherein I have to learn to type fast. My first average typing speed was 14 wpm, which is very frustrating to me.

I try my best to improve it. I’ve searched on Google and in Youtube the techniques on how to type faster. At first, I know it is hard because our hand is got used to of what you used when you start typing. I hope these techniques that I’ve used will help you improve wpm your  aiming. Good luck.

These are the techniques that I’ve learned:

1. Having the correct techniques. It means proper positioning of hands. You should use your 10 fingers when it comes to typing. You can reach your speed if your 10 fingers are active.

2. Have fashion with your typing. Find something that you love to do. Like writing a novel, blog, essay, or writing an e-book, copywriting, content writing, and so much more that are related to writing.

3. Practice. Practice. Practice. They say that practice makes perfect. By continues, practice with consistent, I can assure you that you can reach your typing goal. Whatever it is.

If you follow these techniques I know you can improve your typing skills with no time. I know it is hard and frustrating but it is worth it. I started as 14 wpm, and now I can type like 35 wpm. I know I have to improve this by following these steps.
And I am starting it right now. I started to make this blog to help others that struggle in typing and make the speed that they like. I can’t imagine how people got 100 wpm. The fastest person that can type has an average of 200 wpm. How come she does that. Can we do that also? I think so.

That is my next target. To type 100 wpm. It will help me to achieve my career in the freelancing world. It will become an advantage if I have a fast typing speed.

The decision is ours if we want to have a faster typing speed. I am starting it right now and also starting to write a blog. I think this is my fashion.

What’s your Art Process?

The art process, the thing that sets us apart from one another in the art community. We each have our own unique ways of achieving our goals. In this case, an artwork, a masterpiece, or even just a random sketch. Oftentimes, we easily find an effective process, that yields consistent results. We all crave for that “perfect” art process, that we can use throughout our art career.

As a self-taught digital artist with no formal training, I have to change my process from time to time. I tell you, it’s not something you discover immediately, In fact, my current approach is not yet very efficient. In this post, I’ll talk about the evolution of my style.

Lineart to Base Color art process

Like a lot of artists, my inspiration came from anime and cartoons. I also never used coloring materials after a couple of years.  As a result, it was easier for me to do the lineart to the base color technique.
A sample process by RandomEpicAlex from DeviantArt

However, this style gave me a lot of problems. I often end up with 10+ layers, (I use Photoshop CC btw.) that end up lagging my computer. So after studying other artists’ works, I decided that this was not for me.

The “Painterly” process

There was a short period, where I tried the “painterly” approach. This meant, that I had to use lineart to a minimum, and focus on blotting the colors as soon as possible.
My "painterly" process

Though faster to do, I found myself struggling to create livelier artworks with this technique. I guess I didn’t have enough watercolor experience to pull this off.

The Mixed style process

I realized that I needed lineart to help me create more anatomically correct pieces. So I combined the two techniques.

Finally, I am getting more efficient. This remained my style for a while. However, after a few months, I realized that I was struggling with colors and values. I also had issues with the backgrounds and overall mood of my works.

The Grayscale Approach

To fix this problem. I started my paintings in grayscale. This helped me establish my values from the start. It also made it easier for me to fix the image’s anatomy, and shape earlier. As well as play with many color variations. I was beginning to have fun! (I wasn’t able to save the lineart for this piece.)

This is my technique to date. Though, like everything else, There are still issues with it. I find that it’s too time-consuming. Because I’d have to paint the image three times! (grayscale > colored > final retouches) The third time, because of the common problem with the grayscale approach; Upon adding color, it would always appear muddy. A lot of retouching would need to be done, to counter this.

In Conclusion, we just have to learn how to be patient with our craft. It takes a lot of time to build the “perfect” technique. Make a lot of drafts. Learn from the pros, by asking them, or watching their videos, etc. You can check out this link for some awesome techniques. How about you, what is your current art process?
A Beginner’s Guide to Playing the Guitar

A Beginner’s Guide to Playing the Guitar

Are you a big fan of the guitarists of a certain band you like? Do you fancy yourself playing a guitar in front of a huge crowd while they sing their hearts out? Or, do you just want to have fun jamming with your friends? Then, you’re on the right page! Tell you what, you won’t need to have a musician’s blood in your veins just to play a guitar. As a beginner, you just need to know the basics then afterwards, you’ll be able to tune your beloved guitar to your own melody.

Here are the guitar basics a beginner should know about:

    • Get to Know the Parts.

This is a vital information for every aspiring guitarist. Of course, you can only win a war using a weapon you’re a master of. Getting to know the parts of the guitar should be your first lesson. These parts are the bridge, neck, headstock, tuning pegs, frets, and sound hole. When you’ve understood their uses, then you’ll recognize their distinct contribution to the music you’re making.

    • Tune and Hold the Guitar Properly.

There are many ways of holding the guitar which do not compromise the correct posture and give comfort to the guitarist. For beginners, discomforts are to be expected in areas like shoulders, arms, hands, and neck as they tend to slide the guitar down to see what’s going on. On the other hand, tuning a guitar requires you to know the various string and fret combinations. You must familiarize yourself with the name of each string, as well.

    • Choose the Pick.

You can always use your thumb or index fingers in strumming the guitar, but certain times come when you just won’t last long. There comes the pick. Picks can be thin or thick, medium thin or medium thick. For beginners, a standard shaped medium thickness pick is advisable. No worries. You can always decide what suits you better later.

    • Time for the Chords!

E Minor chord and D2 are two of the easy chord shapes. Chords create the music. You may find it hard for your muscles to move with coordination. That’s okay! At least, you have a good start! Practice as many times as you can in a day. This way, your fingers will remember the chords. Then, changing chords later will be a smooth one for you.

    • Make your own music.

Now that you’ve known the basic in playing the guitar, it’s time for you to get up, hold your guitar, play the chords, and compose your own music.

Playing the guitar becomes easy when you’ve got the determination to learn all about the instrument. Your music may not be that good at the start. But as days pass by, you’ll get better with constant practice. And eventually, you’ll be able to tune your guitar to your own melody. So, pick up your guitar and have a good start today!

Freelancing for Filipino Millennials: The best choice

Working in a corporate world requires one’s eight hours devotion of his day to his job. But even that 8-hour devotion is prone to a series of compromise

Working in a corporate world requires one’s eight hours devotion of his day to his job. But even that 8-hour devotion is prone to a series of compromise because, at times, you need to stay a little bit longer to do more for the company. Though you’re being paid for this over time, however, your time for your family bonding or personal get together with your friends out goes off. And the fact that you are in the Philippines and there’s about 90% chance that you’re in Metro Manila, the work-related stress rises up to the brim because of the crazy-heavy traffic. These make you feel exhausted all the time. So when you get home, you just simply find a cozy place to recharge yourself for another day; hence no family bonding after work at all.

Although, working is a must for survival—this often forces us to go to the crowded cities and do something for a living—because, how are you going to survive if you don’t have something to stuff inside your stomach, after all?

I might sound unfair if I don’t tell positive benefits from working in the corporate world. There are government-imposed benefits for workers which employers are required to comply with, but these are all possible when workers do their share on the expenses to be paid for these benefits; we are not exempted from getting involved in this. There may be some incentives that employees receive from their employers as their bonus. But not the entire workforce experience the same, it’s only a privilege that companies give to their workers. So, if you belong to a company that dispenses bonuses, hey, dude, you’re lucky!

Moms and Dads who hate leaving their kids and family for work or call center agents who hate their unbalanced work-to-family and friends schedules, usually venture into the freelance world to fill up this gap while they earn at the same time. These are the most used perks that we often hear or read from the work-from-home encouragement posts. There’s actually more to that. You can have the government imposed benefits (SSS, Pag-ibig, and Philhealth) as well–only that you need to work them out yourself. Freelancing benefits come with a plus. This plus lets you experience a shower of crispy bills either in pesos or in dollars and a storm of countless opportunities for learning new skills and many different things. Meeting with foreigners around the world and working with them almost every day, you won’t need to go abroad to make that little childhood dream come. These are what make freelance world way, way more exciting.

To be honest, you can learn a lot from your job through work-related and sometimes personal development training and seminars which your company could sponsor you with or perhaps you fund them yourself because your company is very generous to the highest level. Hats off to that, but such opportunities are confined in the box of your career and personal development towards your job. And the big problem here is that your job stays at your company all the time, they cannot go out. Therefore when training happens and the luck seems unkind to you that instance then you’ll end up recalling what happened in your work while you’re out. Freelancing offers you more than that. You can have as much enhancement and development training seminars as you like anytime, anywhere while working because your job stays with you almost all the time. As long as you have the internet and laptop with you, you’re always good to go.

Freelancing is especially suitable for the ones who have travel goals with their friends and loved ones anywhere either around the Philippines or abroad. It makes even more exciting and intense when you do it with the one who makes their day complete and special. You can definitely do it while working. And if intimate love is not your thing because you would rather die for the nation than for Juliet but doesn’t want to enter into politics, then volunteering to organizations with advocacies and causes that promote development, welfare, and progress while freelancing is the wisest choice ever for you. These are all possible because, at the end of the day, in the freelance world, you have your own time, YOU CONTROL YOUR TIME!

Don’t get me wrong, all that I mentioned above will only become the best if you have the passion, the purpose, and the capacity of doing multi-tasks at once. Because, in the long run, it is with the environment-driven ability of one to pursue dreams where heroes conquer everything.

Aztec Healing Clay Review ( Look 10 years younger!!! )

The Worlds Most Powerful Facial

  • AZTEC SECRET INDIAN HEALING CLAY is bentonite clay from Death Valley, California, where it is sun- dried for up to six months in temperatures that sometimes reach 134 degrees.
  • Deep pore cleaning with 100% natural calcium bentonite clay
  • Does not contain: Additives, fragrances, animal products
  • Important Note: Do not leave clay mask on skin longer than 5-10 mins for delicate skin; this will prevent redness/drying
  • Important Note 2: Please read and follow all manufacturer directions before using. Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes after use.
  • Use for acne and blemishes. Use it once per week

After a long discussion with my younger sibling, which mask is on HYPE these days and what brand to use? well I ended up buying this bentonite clay mask that I will discuss and give a genuine assessment about it…I was not really fun of this mask because I am deeply into different  moisturizer and essence.

I have a very dry skin,I reckoned that’s the reason why I didn’t include clay mask on beauty regimen . Now I’m decided yeah its true haha.. we went to Healthy Option to  give it a try. I was in a big surprise! when we reached there, there was a Massive line outside the store, waiting for their turn to have a one tub of Aztec. Take note of this ONE Aztec tub per person only! you can’t buy more than two tub of course to spread the item equally for those customers who waited ages just to have one. See those two little pretty sister of mine? they volunteered to wait and stand for about an hour to get one. This photo is to show that Aztec Healing Clay is surely effective and Top Rated!

Lets go into DETAILS of these new baby…

It contains only 100% natural calcium bentonite clay, free of any additives, fragrances, or animal products. Bentonite clay can contain calcium and sodium, though the more common type used for cosmetics and skin care is calcium bentonite. This type of clay is mined from many parts of the world. It’s often found in the USA, including the states of Wyoming, Montana, Texas, and Arizona. It’s also found in many countries around the world, including France, Egypt, India, etc.

Bentonite itself is a soft, porous and light colored rock. It’s made of minerals from the montmorillonite or smectite group, and colloidal silica. It was formed during the alteration of igneous materials, or volcanic action. It’s ground up into powder form and then sold in containers. Since this clay contains basic minerals, it’s safe to use externally. The consumer can mix up their own clay mask recipes.

What you will need in preparing this mask

                                                              Small glass container
                                                              Plastic mixer
                                                              Measuring spoon 1/2 Tbs
                                                             Small tea glass
                                                              Aztec Clay
                                                              Brag apple cider vinegar

Hola! Everyone,  as you can see on the photos I used a glass container to make a mask for the face because it is more safer than metal. Based on my research if you use a metal in Bentonite clay it will react to the metal and reduces the healing properties of the Bentonite.  Just a small container will do, because if you use bigger bowls you might intend to put more aztec powder  in it, but if you are going to include your neck and chest  you can do so depending on the amount  you need, small glass is (OPTIONAL) you can just pop it straight to the glass container that you are going to use. Its a MUST to use a vinegar that is natural like BRAG ok, don’t forget that!  Last but not the least make sure you have AZTEC healing clay or else you can’t see the promising effect of this bentonite mask. I did not include spatula that is made of silicon because you can use your bear hand or I should say finger tip to apply it straight on your face. For those stagy user they can use whatever tools they like to use.

Clean your Face first before putting the clay on.

2 Scoop of 1/2 Tbsp of Clay and 2 scoop of 1/2 Tbsp of  apple cider Vinegar

You gotta mix them together,  take a look at the video to get the perfect consistency of the clay

Once you got this consistency, you can start spreading it on your entire face like seen on the photo below↓↓

          BEFORE                                           AFTER

yeah! you are right those photos are filtered by Snapshot so I’m kinda look great in there, okay lets begin…First come first! You should slather the mask evenly however you can make it more thicker a bit to be more effective. Once you are finished you let it stay and dry on your face for 5 to 10 minutes for delicate skin and 15 to 20 minutes for normal skin. Yes, you will feel pulling and tightening sensation, its a sign that the clay is working, while the clock tics and waiting for the times up! FEEL YOUR FACE PULSATE!

on my first try, I was really worried about the tightening effect and it produce a regular throbbing on my face and I felt a that it is getting warm , its like your skin is gonna tear apart ha ha. You will only feel that if  you let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes or more.. the longer the tighter! but I don’t recommend it to let it stay for that long. I did experienced it to though! out of curiosity.

Waiting Time what does it look like?

3 Minute              10 minute              15 minute              30 minute

Take a look at it closer, See the difference? It really pulls your skin, that you can’t even move your mouth to talk. As shown in the photos the longer minute the tighter and makes your face a little bit funnier because it is stretching so hard that my lip look more wider than its normal and my nose looks more like flatter. Do not panic its still normal.

This is it! Washing time. Get a warm water to easily comes off the hard clay on your face or  put your face straight at the facet ( ” if your facet is high enough”) and let the water continuously drip onto your face to soften the mask and gently wipe it with your hand to help to remove it easily. It’s recommended that you use the Aztec clay mask once a week.

Right after you washed your face, the redness of your face is the first thing you will noticed and you will probably looking at the mirror closely to observe what had happened?. Its typical anyways, also your face felt  warmed. The redness will slowly disappear after 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can use moisturizer right after you wash your face to lock the moisture on your skin. The next day, I  noticed the difference on my skin. I felt it is more smooth and luminous, my pore looks more smaller also my fine lines are less visible. It’s all worth the hype.

I read a lot of reviews about it and every post have different reaction on their skin, some have good and some have bad. Each skin type has a specific set of characteristic and symptoms. You got to learn and study your skin type first before you purchase a beauty product on the market. For me honestly?,  this is a MUST try product ! No one knows if the product is effective if you just skim and read all  review about Bentonite Clay. You, yourself must find out what is the magic inside this clay that makes my skin fresh and young looking.

Where to buy?

I bought my Aztec Secret Healing Indian Clay in Health Option for only 525 pesos.  All SM mall Philippines have Healthy Option inside. You can also try buying online. Look for Trusted and Certified online shop like Amazon and Beautymnl.

Don’t fall for a waiter helpful suggestions to order cocktail’s by the jug or try a special bottle of wine, you could be landed with a bigger bill than you expect. – Riders Digest ( July 2015)

Do you have any favorite blogger and influencer? Ever wonder how they do it like how they are able to travel to places, be ambassadors of certain brands or speak to a crowd about certain values and perspectives? How about being a blogger or an influencer yourself? Anyone can be one!
Based on our favorite famous bloggers and influencers, they all started from the bottom and worked hard to where they are now. How did they do it, you say? Aside from having and using their niches and resources, this main thing that they did was have a positive attitude. And what I mean by this is not only having it mentally but as a whole being. Let me break it down to you.
  1. Believing in yourself.
We all know how sometimes self-doubt gets in the way of our mindset. When we tell ourselves we are not good enough, that we’ll just fail in the end and our efforts will go to waste or just being lazy in doing something great for ourselves. And even if our family and friends are always there for us, remember that you are the only one who can help yourself and stand on your own two feet. It takes a lot of courage to have faith in the capacity of what you can do. If you want be a blogger or influence others, then be it! Post a photo of yourself looking up the skies with your caption, “Believe you can and aim high for it!”
  1. Be in control.
This is related to the number one positive attitude. Let’s face it, no matter how hard we try to be ourselves, there will be others who will bring you down and give negative feedback about you. This is going to be normal on the cyber web. Even celebrities experience these kinds of affairs. The only thing you can do about this is to accept every negative comment and just stay optimistic with what you love doing. Keep in mind that we are not here to please everyone. There will be those who will support you, and as much as I don’t want to say it, people who won’t. And you know what? That’s okay. As long as you’re not stomping on other people, or getting back at them, that’s okay. Because at the start and end of the day, you are in control of how and what you want to feel. Just make sure it’s a good one. And always be the good person. #positivity!
  1. Be consistent.
As they always say, “consistency is key.” And I don’t think that’s a cliché because, in order for you to become successful, you need to be persistent with what you want and with your goals. Being a successful blogger or influencer doesn’t take overnight to do. You need to be ambitious and committed to where you want to be. Your future self will thank you later.
  1. Be always thankful to yourself.
Whether it’s just reading a book or article about how the first steps to be a social media influencer or blogger, give yourself a pat on the back for a great job! It may be a small thing, but it’s going to make a huge difference in the future. Appreciate your own little efforts and even your mistakes. Mistakes are big opportunities for you to learn and you should be proud of it. Without them, it won’t make you a strong individual. –is feeling blessed.
  1. Be patient.
This is the most important attitude you need from all the 4 combined. You’ve done your part and now what? You wait. But while you do so, continue to hustle. Learn, apply and be persistent. It will take a while, but everything will be worth it. Remember that nothing comes in easy. It’s like planting a beautiful flower. You’ll be able to see the beauty of the flower when you know you’ve worked hard in taking care of it.
And so that’s it! Easy to read but hard to do? Yes, it is. But if you know what you want, you’ll get it. This does not only apply to bloggers and influencers, but to those who want to be successful in life. And I know you can do it! I am a believer that you can! Continue to dream and do! Cheers!

I tried to make Tasty’s Banana-cinnamon Upside Down Cake and the result was amazing!

Banana-cinnamon Upside Down Cake, indeed a better way to make your banana cake. With a luscious banana flavor complimented by cinnamon, this pleasantly dense and moist cake will never fail your sugar cravings.

Sooo.. It was an ordinary Monday afternoon with pretty much nothing going on, and although I know that the responsible thing to do is to try and be productive, I just found myself lying on the couch and facebooking. I was scrolling, scrolling, until a particular video (See below) caught my attention. As per usual, it’s about food! I’ve known about pineapple upside-down cake but never would have I imagined that you can do the same thing with bananas! I always loved banana cake as it is very forgiving for newbies like me during baking and it just taste so much better the next day when you take it out from the fridge and pair it with a steaming cup of coffee. It made me go BANANASSSS!  I was on my peak of excitement when I remembered that I needed to wait for the bananas to overripe and it just burst my bubble!

Fast forward to 3 days. I have been waiting for my bananas to get overripe, eager to make something out of it. Then today when I woke up, there they are waiting for me, calling me, begging for my attention… or is it just me being delusional? Anyway, one look and I knew the bananas were ready to be treated with love and a little bit of cinnamon, and so I got to work and started mashing them eagerly. Once baked, I could see the caramel oozing from the side of the cake that I had no problem with the cake sticking on the side of the pan, It just look so gorgeous that it made me feel like a professional food photographer while having my photo shoot. Doesn’t it look yummy guys?

  3. GET A WEDDING COORDINATOR – Believe me, no matter how hands on you are as a bride-to-be, you still can’t handle everything on your own. Hiring a professional means getting your peace of mind as well. I’ve attended a few wedding events wherein there’s no coordinator and sad to say, it’s very unorganized. Let me give you a few reasons on why you should get one: You don’t want to go back and forth checking your stuff on your wedding day, of course you want to cherish every moment on that day. Second reason is that they know well the industry, they’ve seen the possible glitches that might happen on your wedding day so they know how to handle it right away. Third reason, they can help you on choosing reputable wedding suppliers. So please get your peace of mind.  😉

  4. RESEARCH FOR EXCELLENT AND REPUTABLE SUPPLIERS – This is a once in a lifetime event, so you might as well get someone who can deliver great quality of service on your special day.

  5. Lastly, as all of these details are vital for a successful wedding day, and problems might come, just enjoy the journey with the love of your life.  😉
