Freelancing offers a lot of freedom and flexibility especially for stay-at-home moms like me. At first, I was hesitant to let go of my corporate job since I have a good pay and the company offered lot of benefits. But then, I got fed up from all the stresses, night shifts (I was a company nurse back then), demanding bosses, traffic, little time for my family, etc.
That’s when I decided to try the freelancing field. I researched and I came across Mr. Jason Dulay. I watched some of his videos and listened to podcast regarding successful stories of those who tried freelancing. I felt the spark to enroll to the VA Bootcamp. And I was so thankful because my husband supported me, no further questions asked. As I continue with my freelancing journey, I ascertained some of the many benefits of freelancing. With freelancing, you have the privilege to work anytime from anywhere you want as long as you get the job done on time. You also have the opportunity to learn new set of skills that you can use beyond geography.
As they say, “Learners are earners”. The more you learn, the more you earn. You have the opportunity for career growth as well since you get to learn new tools and platforms. Lastly, you get to spend more quality time with your family. Because I believe family always comes first. I found my dream job in freelancing!
