Italian Cuisine

To name a few, here are the most common Italian Cuisines that we are most familiar with:

Bruschetta – toasted Italian bread drenched in olive oil and served typically with garlic or tomatoes.

Carbonara – denoting a pasta sauce typically made with cured pork, egg, and grated cheese “spaghetti carbonara”.

Pesto – a sauce of crushed basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil, typically served with pasta.

Pizza – a dish of Italian origin consisting of a flat, round base of dough baked with a topping of tomato sauce and cheese, typically with added meat or vegetables. Example: “a cheese and tomato pizza”

Prosciutto – Italian ham cured by drying and typically served in very thin slices.

Risotto – an Italian dish of rice cooked in stock with other ingredients such as meat and vegetables.

Italian Cuisine is the food typically of Italy. It is known for its regional diversity, especially between the north and the south of the Italian peninsula. It offers an abundance of taste, and is one of the most popular and copied in the world and it influenced several cuisines around the world, chiefly that of the United States.

Italian cuisine is generally characterized by its simplicity, with many dishes having only two to four main ingredients. Italian cooks rely chiefly on the quality of the ingredients rather than on elaborate preparation. Ingredients and dishes vary by region. Filipino’s adaptation to variety of Italian Foods

Filipino’s had a very adaptive palate that some of our great chef’s all over the world were our very own fellow Filipino’s. We tend to like the food on our first taste or the reverse, especially with Italian foods that we usually give our thumbs up (definitely I’m one of those).

Why I say this? 

I’ve been into an international restaurant offering wide variety of international cuisines. Majority of Filipinos would order Filipino Foods or else… Italian Foods.

Wait, when was Italian Cuisine first introduce to the Philippines again? a very long time ago but still it does create a big impact on our daily meal eating. I mean, who would eat rice when there’s a Pizza? (just saying…) I do normally did that most of the times,not forgetting our very own but grabbing the choices instead of the daily meal we usually had in our tables.

In fact in our place Moalboal, lots of Italian restaurants already exist and continued to grow. I will not go far,and  here are some of the Italian Restaurant and International Restaurants offers a very authentic Italian Dishes around based on my own preference.
